Student Body

“The most important aspect of Holy Cross is the environment.  The overall atmosphere lends a feeling of family and support among the students and faculty members.  Everyone knows each other, and they’re there for you if you ever need anything.”   -Nick, 12th Grade

Students at Holy Cross Academy come from varied backgrounds including home schools, parochial schools, and public schools. HCA admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. Non-Catholic students are welcome.  However, it should be understood that the curriculum incorporates Catholic teaching. Attending religion classes and religious activities including Mass and Rosary is required for all students.

Students who attend HCA are privileged to learn from highly-qualified teachers with over twenty years’ average experience, in a truly Christian community. Students also have the opportunity to attend Mass, sacramental confession, and the many devotions and liturgical celebrations of the Church.

The Academy is committed to small class sizes to ensure individualized instruction in order to maximize each student's potential.

Neat and modest attire is required: shirt, tie, dress pants and shoes for boys; dress or skirt and blouse and shoes for girls. The dress code adds to the atmosphere of respect for self and others.

To complement the spiritual and intellectual needs of our students, HCA stresses participation in music, fine arts and theater, and athletics.  Our award-winning choir and drama program are the pride of the Academy.  Our boys and girls sports teams are perennial championship contenders.

Students express individual interests by forming clubs and organizations.  Student government gives them the opportunity to organize activities and develop leadership and teamwork skills.

A visitor would see that Holy Cross looks very much like a family and that there is a sincere concern for each student's total formation. Friendships develop here that will last a lifetime.
